Just before South Redwood Road (South 1700 West/ SR-68) is Redwood Junction. At Research Way the Green Line turns east again and heads down the median of that street. After Decker Lake it heads northeast in the median of Decker Lake Drive until that street heads due north at Research Way (West 2770 South). Just after the Maverik Center it turns north, resuming a course in the median of the street, and immediately reaches the next station, Decker Lake, at 3070 South 2200 West. It then heads east along the south side of West 3100 South (with a sidewalk between the tracks and the roadway) and crosses over I-215 and past the north side of the Maverik Center. After passing by the northern end of Valley Fair Mall, it crosses West 3500 South ( SR-171) and continues north in the median of Constitution Boulevard to West 3100 South. Just after leaving that station, it immediately passes between the West Valley City Police Department and the West Valley City Hall, before heading north down the middle of Constitution Boulevard (South 2700 West). To facilitate the new station, the tracks were extended by about 1500 feet. The station opened on April 14, 2013, and is operated by the Utah Transit Authority.Īs part of project to rebuild the airport terminal, the Airport TRAX station was torn down and rebuilt closer to the new terminal. The station is part of a railway right-of-way that was created specifically for the Green Line. It takes about 20 minutes to travel from the Airport station to the downtown area. Like many other UTA stations, this station has artwork included in its design. Unlike many TRAX stations, Airport does not have a Park and Ride lot. The station is located at 700 North Terminal Drive (immediately east of the Terminal), with the island platform extending east from the terminal. Construction started in March 2020 and finished on October 25, 2021. Ĭoinciding with the rebuilding of the airport's main terminal building, the station was moved a few hundred feet to the northwest, directly adjacent to the new terminal. The Green Line has service to West Valley City via Downtown Salt Lake City, and connects with the rest of the TRAX system, as well as UTA's FrontRunner commuter rail and S Line streetcar.
